And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn’t specific to any one platform, so you’ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you’ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won’t find anywhere else.You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges – in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. Trust us, that won’t be an issue.Responsibilities:To ensure 100% uptime for MS-SQL DatabasesPerform health check of all the databases and ensure 100% database compliancePerform Maintenance activities as per schedule to ensure performance of databasesEnsure successful backup of databasesPerform Database upgrades / Patches / Hardening / performance tuning / Job scheduling / Job Monitoring.Perform Database Restoration on requestPrepare and Publish Database Reports whenever requiredPrepare SOP documents and keep up to date.Call logging and resolution for incidents / Service requests related to Databases issues / activitiesEnsure SLA on Uptime of MS-SQL DatabasesPerform Database restorations / DR Drills / Data extraction as per client requirementProvide necessary support for client AuditTroubleshoot the issues related to Database and resolve quickly as per SLA.Ensure optimum Database performance by tuning the DB parametersPerform database backups and refreshesPlan, implement and maintain security at the database level and server levelWork as part of a team and provide on-call supports when required.Setup and maintain documentation and standards.Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.Your future at Kyndryl

And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.Required Technical and Professional ExperienceBe able to provide all levels of database support and off-hours support on a rotating basis.Minimum 5 to 8 Years of Work Experience with minimum 4-6 years of relevant experienceFormulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization.Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skillsRecent experience in MS SQL Server versions 2005/2008/2012/2014.Expertise with SQL log shipping /Replication Configuration and troubleshooting.Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools and DMV'sExperience with backups, restores and recovery models.Practical Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MS SQL Server.Experience of indexes, index management, and statisticsPreferred Technical and Professional ExperienceBachelor's Degree / Diploma EngineeringReady to provide 24X7 SupportGood verbal and written communication Skills in EnglishBeing YouDiversity is a whole lot more than what we look like or where we come from, it’s how we think and who we are.
