Automation Strategy & Test ArchitectureDesign and own scalable, maintainable automation frameworksLead implementation and optimization of automated regression suitesDrive automation-first practices across squadsArchitect API, UI, integration, and end-to-end automation solutionsIntegrate testing deeply within CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validationImprove regression execution time, stability, and coverageDefine test strategy for high-volume transactional systems (FinTech domain)2. Quality Leadership & CollaborationPartner with Engineering, Product, and Design to define quality standards upfrontReview technical designs with a quality and risk-based mindsetLead root cause analysis for production defects and drive preventative solutionsMentor mid-level QEs and developers on automation best practicesAdvocate for shift-left testing and continuous quality engineering3. Advanced Testing & Risk ManagementValidate complex workflows including:Financial transactionsReconciliation processesData integrity and ledger validationMicroservices and distributed systemsDrive non-functional testing (performance, reliability, resilience)Identify quality risks and mitigation strategies early in the SDLCEnsure release readiness through data-driven quality insights4. Metrics, Reporting & Continuous ImprovementDefine and track automation coverage and regression health metricsImprove defect leakage rate and regression reliabilityProvide leadership visibility into quality postureContinuously enhance tools, frameworks, and quality processesInfluence cross-team quality standards within the organizationWho you are:You are a quality engineering leader who thinks like a developer and acts like a product owner for quality.6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / SDET rolesStrong programming expertise (Java / Python / Kotlin preferred)Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratchDeep hands-on experience with tools like:Selenium / Playwright / CypressRestAssured / API automation frameworksStrong CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)Experience testing microservices and distributed cloud systemsExposure to FinTech systems (payments, invoicing, reconciliation, high-volume transactions) preferredExperience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environmentsStrong analytical skills and ability to debug complex system issuesExperience leading quality initiatives across squadsIllustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
