- Maintain comprehensive and precise documentation of all quality control activities, including test outcomes, inspection findings, and tracking of non-conformance incidents, ensuring traceability and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, engineering units, and quality assurance personnel to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related challenges promptly and effectively.
- Lead and participate in rigorous material and component inspections during incoming audit processes, applying a deep understanding of engineering documentation and standards.
- Drive continuous process improvements through coordination with cross-functional teams, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
- Develop and implement Incoming Inspection Plans (IIPs), checklists, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters to guarantee that supplier materials meet stringent quality requirements.
- Conduct training sessions for quality operators and third-party personnel on established testing protocols, fostering a culture of quality awareness and compliance.
- Ensure all quality measurement instruments and tools are calibrated on schedule, maintaining measurement accuracy and reliability across inspection activities.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) for new product developments to validate production readiness and adherence to specifications.
- Implement regular Quality Observation Tours (QOT) on the shop floor to identify potential issues proactively and promote best practices among manufacturing teams.
- Analyse First Pass Yield (FPY) data consistently to detect recurring failure patterns, subsequently initiating targeted corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and manage manufacturing non-conformance reports rigorously, applying appropriate problem-solving methodologies such as root cause analysis to achieve sustainable corrective outcomes.
- Champion the deployment and operational excellence of the Danfoss Business System (DBS) within manufacturing units, ensuring alignment with corporate quality standards and processes.
- Facilitate the effective use of SAP S4 Hana Quality module, maintaining accurate records of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Incoming and Final inspections, and Quality Plans to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support and coordinate customer inspections and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and demonstrating compliance confidently.
- Carry out stage-wise inspections on the shop floor per approved Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), including assessments such as Part Material Identification, Fit-up, Weld Visual Examination, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) witnessing.
- Conduct thorough reviews of Material Test Certificates (MTC) against correlated standards to ensure material compliance and integrity.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, for efficient documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Solid working knowledge of SAP Quality Management (QM) modules, including the ability to execute transactions such as creating inspection plans and quality plans to align with business requirements.
- A foundational understanding of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, welding, and machining is highly valued, enabling more effective quality oversight and collaboration with production teams.
- Familiarity with international quality standards including ASME, ASTM, and various ISO standards, ensuring all practices meet or exceed regulatory and industry benchmarks.
- Experience in managing quality processes such as inspection plan creation, handling accept/reject decisions, material blocking, and scrap management, alongside interpreting technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and welder qualification standards to support welding process assurance and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities aimed at identifying root causes and driving continuous improvement actions.
