A Day in Your Life at MKS:In your position as an electrochemist, you are part of the Technology Enablement Team within MKS. You will be responsible for supporting manifold R&D activities in the field of electrochemistry. The scope of your work will range from characterization of galvanic electrolytes via corrosion investigation, electrode characterization to complete process characterization. To accomplish these tasks, you have access to electrochemical equipment and advanced methods which need to be adapted and further developed to suit the specific problem. In your role you work closely with the R&D teams and the analytical & material science department within the organization.You Will Make an Impact By:Conducting electrochemical experiments, evaluating data, and interpreting it in relation to the defined planEnsuring reliable data sets via instrument maintenance and calibration proceduresClose communication with all stakeholders in R&DFollow good laboratory practices, HSE policy and promote team members to follow the sameKeep strict confidentiality of data (projects/processes) and strictly follow MKS-Atotech compliance policySkills You Bring in:MSc. in Analytical/Physical chemistry (Focus Electrochemistry/ Surface Science) or MTech Chemical/ Electrochemical EngineeringExperience in electrochemical methods and/or electrochemical analytics; familiar with AUTOLAB system of Metrohm is preferred but not mandatoryProved experience in project work in at least one field of electrochemistry (corrosion, batteries, electrochemical catalysis, Galvano technique etc.)Good communication skills and team playerExpertise in scientific data visualization and documentation and/ or statistical data analysisVery good English language in reading, writing and presentationNice to have Skills:0-2 years of experience in electrochemistry related workDocumentation in Excel, JUMP, electronic lab notebook (ELN), and OriginStrong academic background preferred#LI-MK1Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
