The role supports automation workflows, scripts, runbooks, and integrations, while ensuring SLA compliance and platform stability.Key ResponsibilitiesAutonomics / Automation Operations\r\n\r\nProvide L2 operational support for Autonomics platforms (e.g., runbook automation, auto-remediation workflows, AIOps tools)\r\nMonitor automation jobs and workflows, ensuring successful execution and resolving failures\r\nAnalyze automation exceptions and perform root-cause analysis\r\n\r\nIncident & Problem Management\r\n\r\nHandle automation-related incidents and service requests escalated from L1\r\nTroubleshoot issues involving scripts, APIs, orchestration layers, and integrations\r\nCollaborate with L3/platform teams for complex defects or enhancements\r\nParticipate in problem management to identify recurring issues and automate fixes\r\n\r\nAutomation Development & Optimization\r\n\r\nModify and enhance existing automation scripts / workflows / runbooks\r\nAssist in onboarding new use cases into the automation platform\r\nSupport integrations with tools such as:\r\n\r\nITSM (ServiceNow, Remedy)\r\nMonitoring/AIOps tools\r\nCloud and infrastructure platforms\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure automation follows security, compliance, and governance standards\r\n\r\nPlatform Monitoring & Health\r\n\r\nMonitor health and performance of the Autonomics platform\r\nIdentify capacity, performance, or reliability risks and recommend improvements\r\nSupport patching, upgrades, and configuration changes as required\r\n\r\nDocumentation & Knowledge Management\r\n\r\nMaintain SOPs, runbooks, and automation documentation\r\nCreate knowledge articles for L1 teams to improve first-level resolution\r\nProvide reports on automation success rates, failures, and value deliveredSkill Requirements: Technical Skills\r\n\r\nHands-on experience with Autonomics / automation platforms (enterprise automation or AIOps tools)\r\nStrong scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell)\r\nUnderstanding of IT infrastructure components:\r\n\r\nWindows / Linux\r\nCloud (AWS / Azure - basic to intermediate)\r\nNetwork and storage fundamentals\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience with REST APIs and integrations\r\nFamiliarity with ITIL processes\r\nExperience using ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred)\r\n\r\nSoft Skills\r\n\r\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilities\r\nGood communication and coordination skills\r\nAbility to work in 24x7 / on-call support models\r\nAutomation-first and continuous improvement mindsetOther RequirementsnullInformation at a GlanceWhy HCLTech?At HCLTech, you'll supercharge your potential.
