We have a power generation capacity of 15,250 MW comprising thermal power plants in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, and a 40 MW solar power project in Gujarat.Job Purpose: This role is responsible to maintain and enhance the operational excellence and reliability of all Control & Instrumentation systems associated with Boiler systems. This role is pivotal for conducting on-field maintenance activities including routine maintenance, timely overhauls, and calibration of equipment to prevent failures and ensure continuous operation.Responsibilities:Lead - Field instrumentation (Boiler)Operational Excellence and Equipment Reliability:Monitor the availability and functionality of all C&I systems related to Boiler area including firing systems, Mill fan, ASLD, CAMS, and MOV.Conduct routine maintenance of MOV, Boiler, and Auxiliaries to prevent equipment failures.Execute timely overhauls of the Boiler systems to maintain operational integrity.Troubleshoot and rectify breakdowns of equipment to ensure continuous operation.Coordinate with other departments to minimize maintenance delays and optimize equipment availability.Execute calibrations as per schedule and prepare detailed reports on findings and adjustments.Provide on-field support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Zero Forced Outage (ZFO) to enhance system reliability.Implement MoC (Management of Change) protocols to ensure safe and compliant modifications to equipment and processes.Technical and Process Improvement:Perform periodic backups of Boiler PLC and auxiliary systems to secure operational data.Provide resources and guidance to contractor technicians for routine maintenance tasks.Follow the established checklist for equipment maintenance to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.Maintain the FGD (Flue Gas Discharge) systems to ensure environmental compliance.Inventory Management and Documentation:Provide inputs to Team Leads for effective spares and inventory management, including the development of indigenous spares.Manage the procurement process for equipment and services, ensuring value for money and adherence to financial guidelines.Manage documentation and as-built drawings for the section.Business Sustainability:Implement and Follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines within the department.Maintain a culture of safety by providing proper training and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and ensuring zero accidents.Implement field related ZFO Action Items and AWMS initiatives.Adhere to BPT processes, technical audits, and compliance requirements.Report unsafe conditions, acts, and near misses in the work area to prevent incidents.Follow the guidelines of the work permit system to ensure safe working conditions.Ensure adherence to statutory compliances and regulations.Digitization and Automation:Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.Key Stakeholders - Internal:Environment & SustainabilityTechno CommercialOperations & MaintenanceSecurityStoresSupport FunctionsENDORSEENOCKey Stakeholders - External:VendorQualifications:Educational Qualification:Bachelor's degree in C&I or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree.Work Experience (Range of years):4+ years of experience in in C&I systems, preferably in power plant boiler operations.Preferred Industry:Experience in power generation, or related process industries with a focus on control and instrumentation systems.
