Software Asset Management-IT

• Oversees the daily and long-term strategic management of software in cooperation with the enterprise architect community.
• Establishes linkage with budgeting and procurement processes to track asset acquisition, utilization, and retirement of assets
• Plans, monitors, and records software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts
• Works with IT product owners and IT Procurement functions to review technology resources (software), expenses, and vendor purchase agreements.
• Develops and implements procedures for determining software system requirements and tracking company licenses to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles
• Assists procurement, and IT product owners in analyzing budgets, proposals, and vendor contracts for acquisition, monitoring, and compliance of software assets
• Oversees the development and maintenance of tracking system for all software assets in order to maintain an accurate inventory and accounting of all assets and their components
• Driving adoption and systematic improvements
• Create, train, develop and performs entire SAM process

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, accounting or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Software asset management.
• Mandatory: IAITAM - IT Asset Management Certification
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Licensing
• Ability to deal tactfully with internal customers, vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services
• Strong written and oral English communication skills
• Knowledge and experience with agile methodology is an added advantage
