Founded in Switzerland in 1974, Cotecna started off as a family business and has now grown to become a world-class international player with over 7000 employees in more than 140 offices across 50 countries.The mission of the Kandla laboratory department is to build a more efficient service delivery, to fulfil customers' needs, with implementation of COTECNA QMS.Chemist will have the responsibility to apply required standard methodology, maintaining TAT, accuracy in reported results, operation, and verification of equipment and functional of it.Key Responsibilities

Analysis of allocated coal, minerals and fertilizers samples according to schedule.
Reporting the results of analysis carried out to the lab manager and achieving the target on time.
Maintaining the records detailing daily testing work and any other records related to laboratory activities.
Intermediate check and inhouse calibration of laboratory equipment.
Monitoring environmental conditions at laboratory and sample storage area.
Take reasonable care on health and safety at their own, colleagues and other working surroundings.
Report promptly to superior on any abnormalities and accident found related to health, safety and environment.
Safe handling of equipment.

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

BSc (Chemistry)
1 to 4 years' experience in coal testing laboratory for proximate, sulphur and GCV analysis.
