Introduction The purpose of the role is to have an experienced front-end developer who will be the member of the global team responsible to execute transformational initiatives that help Markets Sales realize aggressive client growth targets. This role will be involved in delivery of technology solutions for Sales/Trading RFQ interactions, Trade Capture / Affirmation, persistence for MiFid requirements and Client Confirms generation in partnership with trading technology teams across multiple asset classes. The successful candidate will actively contribute to platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users. With a heavy emphasis on both technical and communication skills, the candidate will be expected to deliver robust design and technical solutions in a controlled, transparent and actively risk managed fashion. What will you be doing . Design, develop and maintain both new and existing features for front-end applications to meet the required business outcome . Work closely with the business users to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions, explain new features and investigate reported issues. . Work with the global team to implement standards and best practices for software development and ensure compliance to the process including unit testing and continuous integration . Co-ordinate with global development teams, Product team, Run-The-Bank and Release team members to deliver global releases . Optimize application performance by profiling, finding inefficiencies and bottlenecks . Cross-training for server side applications, an appreciation and high-level understanding of the whole Framework ecosystem to allow for informed decisions on design and direction of solutions . Undertake analysis of change requests/incidents against applications / products within domain . Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards . Report progress against assigned activities in a timely manner What we're looking for: . Strong experience in UI project/roles. Experience with modern front-end systems utilizing Angular/React, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, jQuery, JavaScript, NodeJS and Bootstrap . Working knowledge of grids (AgGrid, Kendo grid, react grid) and experience building SPAs (Single Page Applications) . Experience building enterprise scale desktop and/or web applications proficiency with AWS and Infrastructure management/DevOps Practices . Engineering or Computer Science Graduate with proven skills in Object Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts (work experience in a global Investment Banking environment is desired) Skills that will help you in the role: . Financial industry experience, knowledge of Fixed Income products (Prior experience with Structuring / Pre-Trade / Post-Trade capture, workflow, processing and associated life-cycling will be plus) . Experience working with JSON and REST services Strong understanding of Webservices, caching and websockets . Understanding of messaging/middleware technologies (Experience with Tibco EMS, Solace, Kafka and Kubernetes a plus) and relational databases .
