At Ping Identity, we're changing the way people and businesses think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.As a Ping Identity Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will be involved in every facet of our On-Demand SaaS services and will build, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure of one of the largest identity platforms in the world. We follow a DevOps model: our teams are integrated with development teams, and running continuous deployments daily, and SREs are expected to provide input in the product's design, development, deployment, and operations.Working within the Cloud Operations team, you'll build automated infrastructure and deployment processes. You'll be the expert on operational excellence and how systems can be built to be redundant, scalable, and observable.Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical lead on projects with a cloud first mindset. Design infrastructure solutions for the future.
Prioritize strategic initiatives while balancing tactical needs.
Collaborate as a member of our operational review board and with other senior SRE, SREII members to establish proper refinement of project initiatives, both internal and cross team.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Skills to advocate for your ideas while being open to feedback.
Actively seek opportunities to coach others team members, be the senior you needed when you were a junior engineer.
Automate everything, remove human intervention as much as possible.
Build via code and maintain our production infrastructure hosted on AWS.
Design and build pipelines to scale, deploy and manage global infrastructure.
Analyze complex system behavior, performance and application issues.
Develop observability, alerts and runbooks
Capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policies for Ping's market leading Single Sign-On SaaS applications.
This position is part of an on-call rotation of 6-8 hours by 7 days a week with a follow the sun model.

Requirements:

Min 13+ years of experience with combination of Software development and SRE
Solid coding/scripting skills (Python/Ruby/Go)
Experience provisioning large cloud environments using IAC tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
7+ years Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Experience with CI/CD automation tooling such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD etc.
Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservice architectures
Solid experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet/Salt.
Building pipelines using GitOps methodologies, ChatOps, etc…
Experience with observability tooling such as NewRelic, Grafana, and Cloudwatch.
7+ years experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration.
Experience with security design principles and implementing them in the automation workflows.
Networking experience in large cloud environments
Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
