- We are seeking a seasoned IBM Middleware Stack Administrator and Team Lead to manage, maintain, and optimize a complex integration ecosystem based on IBM technologies. The role will lead a team responsible for supporting IBM Integration Bus (IIB/ACE), IBM MQ, IBM MFT, IBM DataPower, OpenShift CP4i Cloud and Globalscape, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across mission-critical systems.
- IBM Stack Administration (MQ, ACE, DataPower, MFT, Instana)
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM Integration Bus (IIB/ACE) and IBM MQ across environments.
- Manage MQ Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, and Triggers.
- Handle IBM MFT setup and configurations for file transfers.
- Administer IBM DataPower appliances for security, routing, and transformation.
- Maintain and configure Globalscape EFT for secure file exchanges.
- Manage SSL Certificate generation and renewal across MQ, IIB, and DataPower components.
- Plan and execute upgrades/migrations (e.g., MQ v9 to v9.3, IIB to ACE) with minimal downtime.
- Set up and troubleshoot MQ clustering and IIB high availability environments.
- Configure and maintain Global Cache in IIB for performance optimization.
- Implement role-based access control, LDAP integration, and secure protocols (TLS, HTTPS).
- Apply and monitor security patches.
- Perform audits and compliance checks across middleware platforms.
- MQ queue depths, blocked channels
- IIB message flows, execution groups/applications
- CPU/memory/disk usage on middleware nodes
- DataPower services and policy runtime
- File transfer status in IBM MFT/Globalscape
- Proactive health-checks for node and broker uptime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve real-time issues and support tickets.
- Design and implement automated scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.) for deployments, health-checks, and log rotation.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/GitLab) for BAR file deployments, configuration promotion, and testing.
- Automate certificate renewal workflows and configuration backups.
- Exposure to IBM Cloud / AWS / Azure for MQ on Cloud, IIB containers, or DataPower Gateway deployments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Lead a team of 3-6 middleware engineers
- Plan and delegate operational tasks and incidents.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices and tools.
- Interact with application teams, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and compliance checklists.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM MQ, IBM IIB/ACE, and DataPower.
- Experience with IBM MFT and Globalscape.
- Deep understanding of SSL/TLS, certificates, encryption.
- Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Bash, Python preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Github, Jenkins, GitLab.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, or similar.
- Knowledge of OS administration (Linux/Unix) and system resource analysis.
- Incident and change management using tools like ServiceNow / HP Service Desk or Jira.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, Red Hat OpenShift.
- Understanding of API Gateway concepts.
- Familiarity with DevOps or platform engineering principles.
