
Senior Payroll Analyst (India)

- Independently process and manage the complete payroll cycle for our international entities (India and UK), including data input, calculations, deductions, and reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, and other compensation.
- Thorough knowledge of Indian statutory deductions including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax, and Labour Welfare Fund.
- Expertise in Indian Income Tax regulations, TDS calculations, and annual return filings.
- Manage National Pension System (NPS) contributions and compliance.
- Stay updated on all relevant Indian payroll and labor law changes.
- In-depth understanding of UK payroll calculations, including PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NICs), and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.).
- Proficiency in UK Pensions administration, including auto-enrolment and pension scheme contributions.
- Knowledge of UK Income Tax regulations and year-end reporting (P60, P11D).
- Stay updated on all relevant UK payroll and tax legislation changes.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll-related general ledger posting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team for month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee payroll queries for both India and UK, providing accurate, timely, and empathetic responses.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant payroll, tax, and labor laws in India and the UK.
- Prepare and submit all statutory and internal payroll reports accurately and on time.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements within the payroll function.
- Document payroll procedures and maintain up-to-date records.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in payroll, with at least 2-3 years of independently managing both India and UK payroll.
- Proven expertise in Indian payroll regulations, statutory deductions, income tax, and NPS.
- Demonstrated expertise in UK payroll calculations, Pensions, and income tax.
- Strong understanding of general ledger postings related to payroll.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, local-specific payroll systems) and advanced Excel skills(Pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage employee queries effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Professional payroll certification (e.g., CIPP, APA).
