Preschool Female DriverJob Summary:We are seeking a reliable and caring female driver to join our preschool team. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely transport children to and from our preschool. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and nurturing transportation environment for children. She will also be responsible for occasional errands to support school operations, such as picking up school supplies or groceries as needed. This position requires a high level of responsibility, patience, and attentiveness.Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport children to and from the preschool according to the established schedule and routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any issues or maintenance needs immediately.
Follow all state and local driving laws, as well as school policies regarding child transportation safety.
Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle environment for the children.
Ensure the safety and security of children at all times during transport, including helping children get in and out of the vehicle safely and using appropriate child safety seats.
Supervise children and maintain a positive, nurturing environment while in the car.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding child pickups, drop-offs, and any concerns that may arise.
Perform additional duties as required, including running errands to pick up school-related goods or groceries.
Attend staff meetings and participate in safety training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience in child care or a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of patience, reliability, and flexibility.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to bend, climb, and reach as needed.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time/full-time position (specify hours and days).
The school provides a vehicle for transportation duties.

Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
