- Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) that reflect actual and planned manufacturing processes for mechanical aerospace components.
- Lead and facilitate PFMEA sessions with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive Control Plans aligned with PFMEA and PFD, ensuring robust in-process and final product quality controls.
- Conduct and document Manufacturing Process Reviews (MPRs) to assess readiness, capability, and compliance of processes for new or modified products.
- Ensure all quality planning and documentation is compliant with AS9100D and customer-specific aerospace standards.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102C requirements, ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
- Complete all applicable PPAP elements in alignment with the Quality Plan and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate quality records and support traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams to drive root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a quality engineering role within the aerospace or defense industry (mechanical focus preferred).
- Proven ability to independently develop and manage PFDs, PFMEA, Control Plans, MPRs, and FAIs.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific aerospace quality requirements.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA tools as applied in aerospace manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in quality software tools (e.g., IQ-FMEA, Minitab, SAP, QAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
