Location - IIT Patna You will play a key role in a small, fast-moving team and participate in architecture, design, and implementation of motor control systems within our electric motor products for vast applications. This engineer will work closely with the software, mechanical, integration, and testing teams to design, develop, test and improve system-level behaviors. Join us to create Impactful product and elevate our brand! Hardware Design Engineer - Intern Responsibilities Develop and optimize circuits specifically for motor control applications. Create initial prototypes of circuits and conduct bench tests to assess functionality. Choose appropriate power components and drivers to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Utilize software tools like Altium for creating and updating electronic circuit designs & PCB design. Ensure compatibility and interchangeability of parts used in circuit designs. BOM finalization and Cost estimation. Performance testing & optimization of the motor control solutions Document test results and ensure clear and organized records for future reference and compliance. Collaborating with firmware engineers to develop and test hardware modules Requirements Proficient in the hardware design and control techniques of BLDC, PMSM motors. Comprehensive knowledge of electronic design with a background in both analog and digital circuits. Familiarity with various power device technologies, including MOSFET, IGBT, Super Junction MOSFETs, and SIC. Skilled in designing Gate Driver Circuits. Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Eagle, Altium. Capable of conducting circuit simulations using relevant software tools. Proficient in hardware troubleshooting using various debugging methods. Hands-on experience with standard test equipment, including Oscilloscopes, Power meters, and electronic loads. Embedded Design Engineer - Intern Responsibilities Develop motor control algorithms in MATLAB and validate at laboratory and at product level. Sensored / Sensorless control of permanent magnet motors; including inverter advanced modulation, position and velocity estimation, current control, fault detection, and efficiency optimization. Assure inverter and motor systems meet performance requirements via controls algorithm development, implementation and testing. Supporting the construction of embedded software architecture, code writing and debugging, and system testing. Implement Safety features such as Over/Under voltage, Over-current, Reverse Polarity and Thermal Protection. Develop and optimize device drivers and firmware for motor control interfaces and peripherals. Conduct validation and verification testing to ensure compliance with motor control requirements. Requirements Good Understanding in control of power electronics(PID controls, V/F, FOC, DTC, SVPWM, PWM different control loops). Experience with microcontrollers and microprocessors. Proficiency in programming languages such as Embedded C, C++, and Python. Knowledge of communication protocols used in motor control systems, such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, or Modbus. Experience with system-level modeling and simulation tools for motor control applications. Electric vehicle systems and hands-on integration testing experience. Excellent team player with effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal and external engineering teams. Mechanical Design Engineer - Intern Responsibilities Involved in Structural, Mechanical, Thermal Engineering and NVH of electric powertrain systems for electrical vehicles applications. Conceptualize, create, optimize product and manufacturing drawings in 2D/3D. Create concepts and cost-effective design. Perform structural analvsis and simulation to validate designs and optimize performance. Perform analyses for feasibility of manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) Conduct testing and prototyping to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement. Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes. Qualifications Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Hands on experience in rapid prototyping. Knowledge in CATIA/SOLIDWORKS are an added advantage. Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (FEA, CFD) is a plus. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
