- Evaluation Design: Create prompts to test AI performance on humor, taboos, sensitive topics, and cultural nuances, ensuring outputs align with local norms and values.
- AI Output Benchmarking: Evaluate model responses for tone, accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and hidden biases, providing insights only a cultural insider can offer.
- Framework & Guidelines: Define standards for “cultural awareness” by building structured evaluation frameworks and data generation guidelines.
- Dataset Review & Enrichment: Review and expand datasets to capture a full range of cultural expressions, linking examples to cultural theories such as collectivism vs. individualism or high- vs. low-context communication.
- Bias Analysis: Detect potential structural or linguistic biases and recommend strategies to mitigate them during model training.
- Language & Culture Expertise: Native speaker of [Target Language] with deep lived experience in [Target Culture].
- Education: Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Sociolinguistics, Anthropology, Sociology, History, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
