- Supervise heat-treating operations such as hardening, tempering, annealing, and conditioning of metal workpieces
- Coordinate team activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules
- Estimate and requisition materials needed for heat-treating processes
- Inspect equipment and workpieces for compliance with specifications
- Train and mentor workers in heat-treating techniques and safety procedures
- Resolve grievances and collaborate with other supervisors to maintain smooth operations
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of heat-treating processes and metal properties
- Experience in metallurgy or mechanical engineering
- Leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process specifications
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards

- Typically employed in manufacturing plants,(forging plant) metalworking facilities, or automotive/aerospace industries
