The role involves ensuring accurate layout, level control, structural alignment, and dimensional accuracy for all construction activities.The candidate will coordinate closely with construction managers, tower incharges, QA/QC teams, and consultants to ensure survey data is accurate and construction work is executed as per approved drawings and coordinates.Key ResponsibilitiesSurvey Planning & ManagementPlan and manage all site surveying activities for construction works.Establish primary and secondary control points and benchmarks for the project.Develop survey strategies to ensure accurate layout and positioning of structures.Layout & Setting OutOversee setting out of buildings, structural elements, and grid lines as per approved drawings.Ensure accurate layout of columns, walls, slabs, and other structural components.Monitor alignment and levels during construction activities.Survey Equipment ManagementEnsure proper use and maintenance of survey instruments such as Total Station, Auto Level, Dumpy Level, and GPS equipment.Verify calibration and accuracy of survey instruments periodically.Ensure proper handling and storage of surveying equipment.Accuracy & Quality ControlVerify survey data to ensure dimensional accuracy of structural works.Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure construction tolerances are maintained.Conduct periodic checks to prevent misalignment or dimensional errors.Coordination with Execution TeamsCoordinate with civil execution teams, tower incharges, and engineers to support construction activities.Provide accurate survey references for formwork, reinforcement, and finishing works.Support site teams in resolving survey-related technical challenges.Documentation & Data ManagementMaintain records of survey control points, benchmarks, layout data, and survey reports.Ensure proper documentation of survey readings and site measurements.Maintain survey data for future reference and project records.Team ManagementSupervise survey engineers, surveyors, and survey assistants.Ensure survey teams follow proper survey procedures and safety practices.Guide junior survey staff in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in survey work.Coordination with ConsultantsCoordinate with client representatives, consultants, and project management teams for survey approvals and verification.Ensure survey work complies with approved drawings and project specifications.Technical Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of construction surveying techniques and practicesExpertise in using Total Station, Auto Level, Dumpy Level, and GPS equipmentUnderstanding of structural layout and dimensional control in high-rise constructionAbility to interpret construction drawings and coordinatesProficiency in MS Excel and survey data managementPreferred SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood coordination with construction and QA/QC teamsAttention to detail and accuracy in measurementsAbility to manage survey teams in large construction projects
