About This Role:As an Engineering Manager at Kibo, you will be a "player-coach," responsible for both hands-on technical contributions and overseeing a team of skilled software engineers. You will guide your team in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions in the Java ecosystem. Your role will involve actively contributing to the codebase while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. If you’re seeking a unique challenge with amazing growth potential, then come work with us!What You’ll Do:Actively contribute to the codebase by writing, reviewing, and deploying production-level code alongside your team.Foster professional development of team members by providing regular feedback and coaching to support their career growth.Drive continuous improvement of team processes and foster a positive engineering culture that aligns with Kibo core values.Participate in the engineering leadership team and provide insights and recommendations for improving the overall engineering strategy and direction.Collaborate with team members to create and maintain high-quality software using a variety of technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and SQL.Deliver new features and enhancements by ensuring all code is simple, well-structured, and thoroughly tested.Incorporate cutting-edge technologies, frameworks, and libraries into our software solutions.Lead the evaluation and integration of AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to boost developer productivity within the SDLC.Define and implement best practices to maximize team productivity.Lead code reviews and actively contribute to ensure high-quality software development standards.Lead the team in Agile methodologies such as daily scrums, sprint reviews, and code demos.Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development process, including product management, customers, partners, and other engineering teams.Break down complex project requirements into manageable coding tasks and develop effective strategies to achieve them.
