- Supervise and support a team responsible for country of origin determinations, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualifications, Foreign Direct Product (FDP) Rule analysis, and related bill of material reviews.
- Set daily and weekly priorities for the team to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners such as sourcing, engineering, and global trade teams to gather needed data and resolve issues.
- Ensure team decisions align with internal policies, procedures, and applicable trade regulations.
- Monitor and report on operational performance metrics; proactively address risks or backlogs.
- Provide coaching, support, and professional development for direct reports, helping to build team capability.
- Work within the global trade compliance framework to ensure alignment and share best practices across regions.
- Experience in trade compliance – Minimum 4 years of experience in trade compliance, with focus on origin determination, FTA qualification, or related activities.
- Leadership experience – At least 2 years of experience directly managing or supervising staff.
- Operational and problem-solving skills – Ability to set team objectives, monitor metrics, and troubleshoot classification or qualification issues effectively.
- Communication and collaboration – Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and work across functions and regions.
- Process- and detail-oriented mindset – Demonstrated ability to apply procedures consistently, maintain documentation, and guide the team in compliance-focused work.
