- Design, implement, and maintain the DevOps CI/CD tools for efficient and scalable application deployment and management.
- Help design and implement best-practice DevOps solutions using automation and cloud capabilities.
- Foster a sense of automation in issue resolution – automation should be fostered where technically possible, and the degree of automation should respect a reasonable cost/benefit ratio
- Support development of robust, scalable and future-proof DevOps strategy for AXA XL.
- Involvement in migration of legacy application to Cloud based projects (Azure)
- Create, modify, and implement CI/CD pipelines to run the automation tests and ensure processes are tested, approved, and deployed in an automated and secure manner.
- Be responsible for ensuring the technical quality; this will include code reviewing and solving technical debt, as well as designing solutions for CI
- Collaborate with other engineers, security, and other IT teams to develop and co-deliver high quality product features and capabilities
- Ensure consistent monitoring of platform performance and availability, actively identifying bottlenecks and areas that require enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with various development teams to effectively troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues related to applications and CI/CD platforms, while ensuring minimal disruption to the services.
- Document and communicate DevOps AXA XL platform processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Stay up to date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend and implement improvements to enhance the team's productivity and efficiency.
- Proven experience working as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, preferably within an application solutions team or software development environment.
- Extensive understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard DevOps tools and technologies, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in command-Line interface, such as PowerShell, Azure CLI and Bash.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
- Familiarity with automation techniques and technologies such as terraform.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid Windows and Open Source (Linux) Systems administration skillset.
- Be able to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Java programming language and familiarity with Java frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, Java.
- Good knowledge of tools such as Harness, GitHub Enterprise, OpenShift and Jfrog Artifactory.
