  • We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (QE) Contractor to join our
  • team and work on testing flagship video editing applications like ***
  • Premiere Pro. As a QE Contractor, you will be responsible for ensuring the
  • quality and reliability of our software through rigorous testing and automation.
  • You will collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and product
  • managers to deliver a high-quality video editing experience to our users.
Essential Job Functions:
Test Planning:
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements
  • and feature specifications.
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases that cover various aspects of the
  • video editing application, including video and audio editing, effects, transitions,
  • and overall functionality.
Test Execution:
  • Execute manual and automated tests to verify the functionality, usability, and
  • performance of the application.
  • Identify and report software defects, issues, and areas for improvement,
  • ensuring thorough documentation of test results.
Automation:
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts to accelerate the testing
  • process and ensure consistent test coverage.
  • Integrate test automation into the continuous integration/continuous
  • deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for efficient regression testing.
Compatibility Testing:
  • Conduct compatibility testing across various platforms (Windows, macOS)
  • and ensure the application functions correctly on different hardware
  • configurations.
Performance Testing:
  • Evaluate the application's performance by conducting load testing, stress
  • testing, and measuring resource utilization to optimize the application's
  • efficiency.
Usability Testing:
  • Assess the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) to identify usability issues and suggest improvements for a seamless editing experience.
Regression Testing:
  • Implement regression testing to ensure that new feature additions or bug
  • fixes do not introduce new issues or regressions.
Cross-Device Testing:
  • Test the application across multiple devices to ensure cross-compatibility and responsiveness.
Documentation:
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results, for traceability and future reference.
Communication:
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to discuss and prioritize
  • bug fixes and improvements.
  • Provide clear and concise reports on the status of testing and identified
  • issues to the project team.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role, with
  • a focus on video editing or multimedia applications.
  • Strong knowledge of video editing concepts, codecs, and multimedia file
  • formats.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., *** Premiere Pro) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
