We are currently seeking a talented and experienced BIM Model Structural Rebar Detailer to join our dynamic team in Chennai.Job Summary:
As a BIM Model Structural Rebar Detailer, you will be responsible for producing detailed and accurate structural reinforcement drawings and models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of rebar detailing into the construction process.Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed reinforcement models and drawings according to project specifications and engineering standards.
- Utilize BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar) to create accurate 3D models of structural rebar elements.
- Coordinate with project teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify potential clashes or discrepancies.
- Generate quantity take-offs and material schedules for rebar procurement and fabrication.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve design issues and optimize construction processes.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and designers to optimize rebar layouts for efficiency and constructability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in BIM technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural rebar detailing, preferably in a BIM environment.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and detailing practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings and models.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AISC).
- Prior experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects is preferred.
- Certification in BIM or related software would be advantageous.
