Work with electrical engineer to provide support for the overall Design and Engineering team in the form of SOP creation, training, tool building, scope new projects, and project review/QA for Residential and C&I Projects.Some types of job duties and projects this role will work on include but are not limited to:Project Review: Conduct reviews of both residential and commercial solar and battery projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards. Identify potential design improvements and provide recommendations for project optimization.Technical Documentation: Demonstrate strong technical writing skills to develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate SOPs for electrical design of solar and battery systems. These SOPs will serve as a guide to ensure consistent, high-quality work across the organization.Training and Development: Lead engaging training sessions for the design and engineering teams, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in solar and battery projects. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.Automation Support: Collaborate closely with the automation team to further automate solar and battery projects, reducing errors and AHJ Rejections and increasing accuracy and quality of projects. Leverage your electrical expertise to enhance automation processes and improve overall project efficiency.Assist Licensed Electrical Engineer: Provide valuable support to the Licensed Electrical Engineer on various tasks, including feasibility assessments, system design, and technical problem-solving. Contribute insights that lead to the success of complex projects.Qualifications:Proficiency in residential solar and battery designs, with experience in commercial solar and battery designs strongly preferred. Experience with utility solar & battery designs a bonus.Strong technical writing skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively.Solid understanding of electrical code (NEC), regulations, and industry best practices.Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD) and electrical system analysis tools (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Excel (familiarity with VBA a plus)
