- Develop and implement robust procurement strategies for direct and indirect materials essential for solar PV module manufacturing.
- Align procurement plans with production, R&D, and new product introduction (NPI) cycles.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives through supplier negotiation, alternate sourcing, and value engineering.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers (domestic & international) for critical raw materials: solar cells, glass, EVA, backsheet, junction box, etc.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, reliability, and delivery (QCD).
- Build strategic partnerships and long-term supplier agreements.
- Manage global sourcing of key components including logistics, customs clearance, and import/export documentation.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, BIS, ALMM, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Mitigate geopolitical and supply chain risks through alternate supplier development.
- Drive year-on-year cost savings through effective procurement levers.
- Negotiate long-term contracts, MoUs, and volume deals ensuring optimal pricing and delivery terms.
- Ensure robust contract management and adherence to payment terms and SLAs.
- Work closely with Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Production teams to ensure seamless material availability.
- Collaborate with the Quality team for vendor audits, incoming inspection, and supplier development.
- Implement digital procurement tools (ERP/SAP/Oracle), analytics, and dashboards for real-time visibility and control.
- Standardize procurement processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Track and report key procurement KPIs (OTD, PPV, Inventory Turnover, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of solar module BoM components and vendor ecosystems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of import/export procedures and documentation (LC, Incoterms, etc.)
- Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001), lean procurement, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in SAP/Oracle or any ERP platform.
- High integrity, leadership, and team management capabilities.
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Production Engineering.
- MBA in Supply Chain Management / Operations (preferred but not mandatory).
