This mid-level position requires a candidate with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of equipment handling and reprocessing.Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency in endoscope reprocessing and handling of flexible endoscopes (Mandatory skill).
  • In-depth knowledge of GI tract anatomy to assist during endoscopy procedures efficiently (Mandatory skill).
  • Understanding of health and safety compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Experience with infection control procedures to maintain sterile conditions during procedures.
  • Ability to perform sterilization techniques to prepare medical tools and equipment accurately.
  • Skills in patient preparation for procedures, ensuring patient understanding and comfort.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain equipment and follow protocols precisely, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup of endoscopic procedures by preparing and testing equipment readiness.
  • Ensure the proper handling and maintenance of endoscopic instruments in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures to provide necessary technical support.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of endoscopic tools and instruments.
  • Monitor and manage patient comfort and safety throughout the endoscopic procedures.
  • Document procedure details accurately within the electronic health record systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest endoscopy techniques and protocols to maintain compliance with evolving best practices.
  • Participate in continuous training and development sessions to enhance skills and expertise in endoscopy technology.
