A Data Scientist position involves spearheading innovation by addressing complex scientific and business challenges with solutions based on information. Your expertise will accelerate medicine discovery and delivery, blending statistical prowess, coding skills, and domain knowledge to unlock insights from extensive datasets. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and support functions like commercial analytics and digital transformation, all while driving omnichannel operations for Global Business Services and Global Commercial Services.Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms, including agentic AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning and workflow orchestration.
- Leverage generative AI solutions to automate data science workflows, enhance productivity, and deliver novel insights across diverse data sources (clinical, biological, operational, real-world).
- Evaluate, clean, merge, and transform complex datasets, ensuring readiness for advanced analytics and automation.
- Build and deploy analytical workflows using Gen AI tools and agentic AI frameworks (such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen), ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
- Document AI system decisions and data processes for transparency, auditability, and scalability.
- Visualize data and model outputs through dashboards, reports, and presentations customized for diverse collaborators.
- Collaborate with data engineers to operationalize, monitor, and continuously optimize both traditional and agentic/gen AI models in production.
- Keep up with advancements in agentic AI, Gen AI architectures, encouraging innovation when applicable.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with collaborators, translating complex AI and automation concepts into actionable next steps.
- Ensure all solutions align with data privacy, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative technical team culture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related subject area.
- Advanced programming skills in Python (preferred), including hands-on experience with agentic and Gen AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, Hugging Face, OpenAI).
- Solid background in machine learning and generative modeling techniques: supervised/unsupervised learning, large language models, prompt engineering, workflow automation, model validation.
- Practical experience in developing automation that includes autonomous agents for tasks such as data management, report generation, decision processes, and content development.
- Proficiency in data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and visualization (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn), and experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and scalable data tools (Spark, Databricks, Hadoop), with exposure to Gen AI service deployment.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with healthcare, pharma, or life sciences data is a strong advantage.
