Job Description:

The Sr.CAD Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/UG NX Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for ongoing and new projects for Seating.
This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of variousseating projects. You will have responsibility for Engineering design and development experience in Automotive Seating SystemSeating Foam and Plastic, complete seat etc as per the industry standards andGuidelines.
Proficient skill set in CATIA V5 /UG NX software.
Proficient in Part Modelling, Solid & Surface Modelling, 2D,3D Drawing PreparationAssembly.
Check assembly and packaging constrains in respect of adjustment possibilities.
Check process constrains (tool access, assembly steps) based on guidelines.
Create assem bly models and skeleton using Catia V5 /UG NX
Good knowledge of CAD Methodology and best practices for Part Design, AssemblyDes ign, Drafting & Kinematics.
Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given pointin time to meet customers expectation.
Good knowledge in Plastic attachment features.
Knowledge of product development phases.
Should have in depth knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, DFM and DFA.
Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer
Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met.
Identifying all risks to the programme.Knowledge / Experience: 3 to 6 Years
Essential Extensive experience in using CATIA V5/UG NX
Good all round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of seating systems.
Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
Team Centre Engineering (TCE) Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
PC Literacy: Microsoft Project , Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
Qualification: BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering
