- This is an on-site, full-time position based in New Delhi.
- Salary band for this role is available upon request.
- Identify, select, and engage artists representing various music genres, including Hindustani, Carnatic, Western classical, folk, rock, pop, indie, fusion, etc., for standalone performances, festivals, ensembles, and other programming initiatives.
- Develop innovative festival and thematic concepts that align with the museum's larger curatorial vision and strategic goals, fostering interdisciplinary connections and engaging diverse audiences.
- Curate music workshops aimed at educating and engaging younger audiences and the larger community.
- Lead the implementation of music programming initiatives from conceptualization to execution, artist coordination and repertoire selection.
- Maintain a pulse on emerging and established artists, trends and audience preferences through ongoing research, attendance at live performances, and engagement with the wider music community.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and promotion of music programs within the museum's overall cultural programming.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Curation or a music-related field.
- Background and specialisation in one or more genres of music as a curator, performer, academic, or researcher, with a deep understanding of diverse musical traditions and styles.
- Creative thinking skills to develop innovative and compelling music programming concepts that resonate with diverse audiences and advance the museum's mission.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with artists effectively, collaborators, and internal stakeholders.
