JOB PURPOSEThe Electrical Technician – Operations & Maintenance will be responsible for
round-the-clock operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of
electrical systems at the plant. The role supports continuous 24×7 operations
by ensuring high equipment availability, safe working conditions, and timely
response to electrical breakdowns across all shifts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and monitor electrical systems and equipment during assigned

shifts to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical

panels, switchgear, motors, transformers, lighting systems, UPS, and associated
equipment.

Respond promptly to electrical faults and emergency situations during shifts

to minimize downtime and operational risk.

Execute shift handover and takeover activities, including review of logbooks,

pending jobs, and system status.

Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE)

regulations, electrical safety standards, and shift operating procedures.

Perform isolation, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work activities in

accordance with site requirements.

Monitor critical electrical parameters and report abnormalities to the Shift

Supervisor or Engineer.

Maintain accurate shift logs, breakdown reports, maintenance records, and

checklists.

Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams during

shift operations and maintenance activities.

Support planned shutdowns, statutory inspections, testing, and

commissioning activities as required.

Maintain proper housekeeping in electrical rooms, substations, and

work areas across all shifts.
