Location: Hybrid Role Type: Full-Time Department: Data & Analytics / Engineering Persona: Data Engineer (GCP) About the Role We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our GCP platform engineering function. In this role, you will ingest new datasets into the platform, build scalable data pipelines, and support end to end data engineering activities across multiple environments. You'll work with modern cloud-native technologies, CI/CD tooling, and enterprise data services to enable high quality data delivery for the organisation. What You'll Do
Design, develop, test, and deploy data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform
Ingest new datasets into the enterprise platform following approved patterns
Validate data quality, schema alignment, and pipeline performance
Work across Build, Integration, Pre Production (view-only), and Production (view-only) environments
Use GitHub, Jenkins, and Spinnaker for versioning, builds, and deployments
Monitor workloads and system performance using Dynatrace
Collaborate with analysts, architects, and platform teams to land and process data
Troubleshoot data ingestion issues and provide operational support where required
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and environment access standards Tools & Technologies:
GCP Services: BigQuery, GCS Storage, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, Spanner, Data Catalog UI, Cloud Composer, Dataproc Viewer, Bigtable CLI
CI/CD Tooling: GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker
Programming: DBT,Python
Observability: Cloud Logging/Monitoring What We're Looking For
Experience building data pipelines on cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Strong SQL and understanding of ETL/ELT workflows
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Good understanding of distributed data systems and real time/streaming architectures
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work across multi-environment setups
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science
Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical
Bachelor of Computer Applications
Master of Engineering in Electronics

Experience

Project Management (6+ years)
