Job RequirementsA Technical Delivery Manager for a remittance application with 10 – 12 years’ experience is expected to own end‑to‑end delivery of cross‑border/payment projects, orchestrating tech teams, vendors, and business to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable remittance capabilities.Role Overview - The Technical Delivery Manager – Remittance Applications is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of enhancements and new initiatives on the bank’s cross‑border and domestic remittance platforms (SWIFT, RTGS/NEFT, IMPS/UPI‑based remittance, wallets, and FX corridors). The role leads multi‑disciplinary squads (engineering, QA, DevOps, vendors) to deliver on time, within budget, and to the required reliability, security, and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities1. End‑to‑End Delivery Ownership2. Own delivery from pre‑project shaping and estimation through design, build, testing, deployment, and post go‑live hyper‑care for remittance applications.3. Plan and manage delivery roadmaps, detailed project plans, and critical paths for multiple concurrent remittance streams (e.g., scheme changes, sanctions upgrade etc.,).4. Ensure scope, timelines, and quality baselines are clearly defined and maintained.5. Drive impact analysis and re‑planning when change requests occur.6. Technical Leadership (Remittance Domain)7. Understand and challenge solution designs for remittance flows including message formats (SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, proprietary), routing, orchestration, FX, and fees. Work closely with solution architects to define high‑level and low‑level designs covering integration with core banking, channels and guide teams on non‑functional requirements: latency, throughput, resiliency, DR, observability, and security for high‑volume remittance processing. 3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management8. Act as primary delivery contact for business/product owners (remittance, FX, transaction banking), operations, risk, and compliance.9. Coordinate with external vendors (switch providers, correspondent systems, SaaS platforms) on SOWs, delivery schedules and technical onboarding.10. Run regular vendor reviews, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) reviews, ensuring timely resolution of blockers.11. Release, Environment & DevOps Governance12. Oversee build pipelines, CI/CD, environment strategy (dev/SIT/UAT/perf/pre‑prod/prod) and ensure stable environments for remittance testing.13. Work with DevOps/SRE to define deployment strategies, rollback plans, monitoring dashboards, SLAs/SLIs/SLOs for remittance APIs and batch jobs.14. Ensure all releases follow change‑management processes, with documented run‑books, back‑out plans, and approvals from change advisory boards (CAB).15. Define and enforce quality gates across SIT, UAT, performance, security testing, and regression cycles for remittance flows.16. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for: o Straight‑through processing and manual repair paths o Sanctions/screening hits and false positives o FX rate application, charges/fee calculation o Exceptions, reversals, R‑messages, and cut‑off/holiday handling o Drive defect triage and prioritization; track leakage to production and anchor continuous quality improvements.17. Ensure delivery is compliant with regulatory requirements across served jurisdictions (e.g., AML, KYC, sanctions, data‑localization, central‑bank circulars).18. Work with InfoSec and risk teams to embed security controls (encryption, tokenization, key management, secure APIs), and to remediate vulnerabilities identified in remittance systems.19. Maintain audit‑ready documentation: design artefacts, test evidence, sign‑off trails, operational run‑books, and access controls.20. Lead and mentor a blended team of in‑house engineers, BAs, QA, and vendor resources; manage allocation, performance feedback, and skill uplift in the payments/remittance domain.21. Coach teams on agile/scrum or hybrid delivery models, ensuring ceremonies, velocity tracking, and continuous improvement are in place for remittance squads.22. Best practices in documentation, coding standards (via tech leads), observability, and incident post‑mortems for remittance platforms.Experience:· 10–12 Years in IT/financial services, with at least 5–7 years in payments/remittance systems (cross‑border, FX, SWIFT, domestic rails).· Minimum 3–5 years in a delivery / program / technical project management role, leading mid‑to‑large programmes (multi‑squad, multi‑vendor).Educational Qualification (Fulltime): Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
