- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large scale enterprise networks, leveraging your expertise in advanced networking technologies (firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, SDWAN, MPLS). Strong understanding of cloud based networking in Azure and AWS, specifically with client services routers and transit gateways.
- Drive network security initiatives, applying best practices for network access control, VPN configuration, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and firewall/security appliance deployment.
- Architect and deploy robust WAN/LAN infrastructures, with advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and technologies such as MPLS and SDWAN for branch offices and remote locations.
- Implement and manage network segregation and VLAN routing for complex, multi layered environments to ensure proper traffic isolation and security.
- Design, deploy, and manage Cloud Network Architecture for hybrid environments involving Public and Private Cloud solutions, with expertise in connecting onpremises networks to platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Lead the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network security appliances such as Next Gen Firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN Gateways.
- Serve as the technical lead for projects involving networking across Microsoft technologies, including AWS and Azure networking.
- Participate in the advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues including latency, packet loss, routing discrepancies, and VPN connectivity in multi site environments.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practice adherence.
- Work directly with clients to assess needs, develop custom network solutions, and ensure solutions are implemented according to specifications.
- Lead the integration of network monitoring tools to continuously measure performance and security across managed services environments.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands on experience in a Senior Network Engineer or similar advanced role within large, enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Security+, JNCIP, or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) highly preferred.
- In depth experience designing and configuring complex enterprise networks (LAN/WAN, MPLS, SDWAN, VPNs).
- Expertise in enterprise network security, including firewall configuration (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM solutions.
- Extensive experience with advanced routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, subnetting, and VxLAN technologies.
- Proven ability to architect and manage multi cloud network environments, including network integration with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with network performance monitoring, traffic analysis, and QoS in enterprise environments.
- Hands on experience with network automation and orchestration (e.g., using Python, Ansible, or Cisco DNA Center) to streamline network provisioning and management.
- Strong understanding of networking in virtualized environments, with hands on experience in VMware NSX, Hyper-V Networking, or SDN (Software Defined Networking).
- Familiarity with network segmentation best practices and the implementation of zero trust security models in enterprise environments.
- Solid experience troubleshooting network performance issues, including analyzing packet captures using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and management platforms such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
- Knowledge of quality of service (QoS) mechanisms and traffic shaping in large scale networks.
- Office 365 environment management and troubleshooting, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Experience in O365 migration projects, including planning and executing Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive migrations.
- Practical knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, SMTP, Mail Routing, and Patch Management in a hybrid cloud/on premises environment.
- Security focused certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Security+.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor junior network engineers.
- Client facing communication skills, with experience explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong documentation and diagramming skills, particularly with tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
