Job Description:About usSIM is a department of ~600 people based in Bangalore (India), Toulouse (France), Hamburg & Bremen (Germany), Getafe (Spain) Filton (UK), Mobile (US), Beijing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).Our main missions are:● Retrofit Solutions: Deliver and Support added value Retrofit solution packages to maintain continued aircraft airworthiness and improve Customers Operations & profitability● Maintenance Program Engineering: Deliver customer value through an array of services (from business development to the preparation of Planned Maintenance Service products, maintenance program optimization exercises and Parking & Storage)● Scheduled Maintenance Services: Support the operation and maintenance of all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwide, from development of initial requirements to deviation management and optimization of maintenance tasks. ● GSE Engineering: Engineering activities related to GSE & Tools (including Design, Services, Manufacturing Engineering & Front desk) for all Airbus aircraft and all customers worldwideJob descriptionThe Cabin Vendor Manager (CVM) team is responsible for managing the customization, definition and qualification of cabin equipment for different kinds of main cabin equipment like seats, galleys, lavatories, stowages, etc. as part of an Airbus Cabin Upgrade project for civil programs (SA, A330, A350, A380) and offers the ability of a close collaboration with international suppliers and customers.Roles & Responsibilities● You will independently be responsible for customizing complex new cabin equipment (close-to-known) for furnishing all Airbus civil programs, taking into account existing aircraft cabins, customer-specific requirements, high Airbus quality standards, and economic aspects.● Providing advice to customers regarding manufacturer selection and independently taking part in the customization and related definition of cabin equipment in the cabin layout.● Obtaining a quotation from external manufacturers for costs and lead time in accordance with equipment specifications on behalf of procurement as part of a multi-functional team.● Assessing the engineering load and the lead time.● Representing Airbus in external relations (Airline visits, cabin inspections) and leading negotiations on behalf of the Upgrade Services with Airline Customers and external equipment manufacturers regarding procedures, deadlines for all vendor deliverables such as drawings, test plans/reports, DDP, VSB to the associated meetings (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FPDR). In preparation for the meetings, in conjunction with short-term international agreements, a high degree of flexibility is required.● Being in charge of the selection and detailed planning of the certification program for cabin equipment. Ensuring the on-time deliveries by the vendor through an appropriate vendor management using tools, such as Vendor Document Tracker (VT3) and escalations, status reporting, independently initiating mitigation actions. Independently assessing and releasing the vendor deliverables (V&V) to obtain the relevant delegations (checker/TAP).● Independently planning and ensuring the necessary external engineering resource for the project.● Commissioning and coordinating subcontractors for the creation of specifications and drawings for the integration of equipment in the aircraft cabin within the agreed costs and deadlines and to ensure on quality delivery.● Independently taking decisions on issues as well as having the authority to sign documents (minutes of meetings, milestone charts, vendor service bulletins for the modification of equipment).● Being responsible for the delivery of cabin vendor manager deliverables for an “on time”, “on cost” and “on quality” furnishing.About you Experience:● Educated Engineering or Master’s degree in engineering or similar will be required● Completed technical apprenticeship (e.g. in aviation sector) with appropriate further training/education● Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) experience is welcome● Airbus (Mise au point) knowledge is a plusYour hard skills and qualifications:● Project Management skills is a plus Soft skills● You are a team player and cooperation is very important to you● You have a positive and open mindset and good communication skills● You are well organized and independent work is natural for you● You are able to give guidance to subcontractors and project stakeholders● A high level of personal responsibility and flexibility complete your profileYour language skills:● English negotiation level● German would be a plusThis job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.Company: Airbus Group India Private LimitedEmployment Type: PermanentExperience Level: ProfessionalJob Family: Customer Eng.&Technical Support&Services
