  • Design fixtures, tooling, and small automated machines to support a lean manufacturing environment (compact size, quick cycle time, ease of use and changeover, and repeatability are key).
  • Create 3D Models of mechanical tooling and fixtures used for manufacturing assembly processes
  • Improve and repair existing fixtures, tooling, and machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Interface with Industrial and Development Engineers and outside vendors to procure complex automated machines.
  • Good experience in using pneumatic and hydraulics.
  • Maintain high quality / compliance standards in line with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements within Creganna, TE Medical
  • Properly document and internally communicate all technical discoveries, inventions, and intellectual property. Maintain confidential and proprietary information and communications as property of TE.
  • Generate detailed 2D drawings to include GD&T.
Candidate Desired Profile:
  • Bachelor's in engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma in tool and Die making
  • Proven fixture design experience
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience of fixture design and development engineering
  • Good knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes
  • Experience in toolroom or good knowledge of machining processes
  • Experience using additive manufacturing processes for rapid prototyping.
  • Minitab Statistical Analysis applications a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cleanroom Requirements.
Competencies:
  • Innovative mechanical design skills including but not limited to frequent use of 2D and 3D CAD (Creo and/or Solidworks) modeling and GD&T
  • Can-do attitude, resourceful, action oriented, and drive for results.
  • Good problem solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate others to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in English language.
  • Mechanical Engineering-minded approach
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Can work on their own and as part of a team.
