Hardware EngineeringGeneral Summary:Firmware (FW) Engineers are responsible for developing GPU system level power and control firmware on ARM Cortex M3. Engineers are also in charge of validating/commercializing Firmware in pre-silicon (DV) and post-silicon (Emulation/Windows/Linux-Android) platforms. Primary tasks in this role include:Firmware & Spec OwnershipGPU Power and Control sequences/Spec. ramp up and ownershipReview and signoff software usage model with hardware engineersFirmware & Software design of hardware sequences collaborating with hardware designersFirmware source code development, verification, integration, review and maintenanceReview and analyze test results, propose failure hypothesis and debug steps across pre and post siliconOn Silicon prototypes to feed future feature HW/FW ArchitecturesPre-Sil:Support & enable test environment development, test plan and firmware validation on DV & emulation platformsPost-Sil:Support & enable test and validation on post-silicon platforms across windows and Linux-AndroidPrimary POC for customer issues during commercializationGood understanding of System/SW level security architecture and hierarchyWork with GPU HW/SW leads to ramp up on GPU security Architecture and requirementsParticipate in GPU security reviews & products review for select projectsQualifications:Experience in Embedded System DesignExperience with system architecture and hardware design (Verilog/SystemVerilog) with emphasis on CortexM3Experience in C/C++ coding/debug and scripting (PERL, Python)Experience with Lauterbach embedded system debug toolsExperience with FW/HW debug utilizing Logic Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, OscilloscopeBachelors/Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 4 years of experience in firmware development, hardware design/verification, debug and supportGood understanding of SW memory management architectureAny prior work experience on Automotive projects is a plusMinimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
