- Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis of metallic and composite structures in accordance with regulatory and OEM standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Utilize tools like NASGRO, DARWIN, or other proprietary applications for crack growth and fracture mechanics analysis.
- Conduct life prediction assessments under static and dynamic loading conditions, including variable amplitude loading.
- Support aircraft certification programs by providing substantiation reports and analysis documentation.
- Work closely with design, stress, materials, and manufacturing teams to define inspection intervals and structural integrity requirements.
- Interpret test data and validate analytical models against physical test results.
- Develop and review fatigue test plans and evaluate test outcomes.
- Document assumptions, methodologies, and results in clear, traceable technical reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: NASGRO, DARWIN, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of fracture mechanics, crack growth behaviour, and fatigue life prediction methodologies.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, especially metallic alloys used in aircraft structures.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with exposure to FAA/EASA certification processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and reporting.
- Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and learning.
- Experience in aircraft structural analysis.
- Knowledge of residual strength, multiple-site damage (MSD), or widespread fatigue damage (WFD) assessments.
- Familiarity with probabilistic analysis techniques.
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python, VBA).
