The Associate Manager – IAM is responsible for technical leadership, service governance, and delivery assurance of Identity and Access Management services within a managed services (AMS) model.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, a holistic understanding of the IAM domain, and the ability to guide Team Leads (TLs) while ensuring SLA compliance, operational excellence, and security posture across client environments.
This role acts as the L3/L4 escalation authority, bridges architecture and operations, and partners closely with clients, internal security teams, and leadership.Roles & Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Governance (AMS Aligned)
Own end-to-end IAM service delivery for assigned accounts within SLA, KPI, and compliance objectives.
Ensure ITIL-aligned operations across incident, problem, change, and request management.
Review and approve high-risk/complex changes, ensuring strict change management discipline.
Drive service stability, reduction of repeat incidents, and operational maturity.
Technical Leadership (L3 / L4 Role)
Act as highest technical authority for:
Active Directory (on-prem)
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
Hybrid identity architecture
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for P1/P2 incidents and define permanent corrective actions.
Review solution designs, technical approaches, and remediation plans proposed by TLs and SMEs.
IAM Domain Ownership
Govern and guide complete IAM lifecycle, including:
Joiner–Mover–Leaver (JML) processes
Authentication and authorization strategies
Role-based access control (RBAC)
Least-privilege and segregation of duties
Provide advisory input on IAM risk, security posture, and control gaps.
Active Directory & Entra ID
Provide oversight and expert guidance on:
AD forests, domains, trusts, DNS, replication, and GPO strategy
Entra ID tenant configuration, users, groups, devices, and sync
Hybrid identity and directory integration patterns
Ensure alignment with Microsoft-recommended best practices and client security standards.
PKI & Certificate Services
Maintain strong conceptual and operational understanding of PKI, including:
AD Certificate Services (AD CS)
Certificate lifecycle management (issue, renew, revoke)
CRL, OCSP, trust models, and PKI dependenciesAdvise teams and clients on certificate-related IAM and security integrations.
People & Team Leadership
Provide technical mentorship and direction to Team Leads and senior engineers.
Review team outputs including:Change plans
Design documents
SOPs and runbooksBuild technical depth and decision-making capability within the IAM practice.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted technical advisor for clients on IAM-related matters.
Participate in service reviews, audits, and compliance discussions.
Translate business and security requirements into practical IAM solutions.Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on expertise in:
Active Directory (AD)
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
End-to-end understanding of the IAM domain (not tool-limited).
Good working knowledge of PKI / AD CS.
Experience managing hybrid identity environments.
Strong understanding of enterprise security and access control principles.Additional Information:
8+ years experience in IAM / Identity-focused roles.
Proven experience in AMS / operations-heavy environments.
Prior experience mentoring or guiding Team Leads.
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Azure AD skill & Identity Access Management (IAM).
This position is based at our Jaipur office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
Exposure to PAM concepts/solutions.
Experience supporting large enterprise or multi-client accounts.
Familiarity with audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
