About Transfer AgencyThe Transfer Agency Department provides Fund Administration service to numerous Fund management companies covering the full range of shareholder servicing functions including Transaction processing, Reporting, AML and Registration and Payments. The department is responsible for Client and investor document management, processing and quality checking of transactions and updating the registers of clients in response to investor instructions. This role is to perform BAU activities in the TA department in order to ensure that not only Client Service Level Agreements are consistently met and/or exceeded but also to ensure that regulatory requirements are effectively met. As a service provider, our Transfer Agency function ensures operational efficiency and a seamless experience for our clients across global regions.About The FunctionPlatforms: The Platform Team is responsible for full transaction lifecycle management for platform trades. `Platform team is sometimes referred to as a mini TA. The reason for this is because they complete a number of functions that touches on all of operational streams. The Platform team is primarily focused on the daily processing, monitoring, reconciliation and settlement of Platform trades.Fund Set-up: Setting up and maintaining new funds and share classes in core TA systems.Key duties and Responsibilities1)PlatformsAssist Fund Promoter to set up their funds on the relevant PlatformAdvise registration of new account set upsInvestigate oversell transactions on Platform accountsInvestigate failed STP Platform transactionsTrade versus settlement instruction reconciliationCash settlement InstructionsMonitor, investigate and resolve failed tradesInvestigate cash and unit reconciliation breaks2) Fund Setup and MaintenanceCreate and configure new funds, share classes on TA systemsCollaborate with onshore team to ensure data accuracyMaintain and update fund parameters (cut-offs, currencies, fees, etc.)Track amendments for audit readiness3)People Coordination & SupervisionAct as a checkpoint for junior team members' work in the processProvide support in training, mentoring, and daily oversightServe as the first escalation point for process exceptions or delaysSupport workload balancing and floor coordination during volume spikes4)Controls, Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory standardsMaintain detailed logs, trackers, and management reportsSupport audits and reviews with timely data and clarificationsSuggest process improvements and participate in automation initiatives5)Required Qualifications & SkillsGraduate/ Post Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent discipline8+ years of experience in Financial Services, preferably in Transfer Agency OperationsSound knowledge of investor servicing, capital transactions, and fund structuresStrong analytical and reconciliation skillsWorking knowledge of MS Excel; exposure to AWD and TA platforms preferredExecutive presence, managing with influence and effective communication across stakeholder groups both regionally and globallyOther Role Requirements:Result-oriented with an ownership and accountability mindsetCommercial acumen - Understanding of cost/budgetsDrive pay for performance and culture of performance differentiationEmbed risk excellence culture across the teamsEncourage and drive a culture of change and ideationShift Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including late shifts based on region servedMobility: Open to short-term travel or relocation to other office locations as needed for business or trainingPeople Management Potential: Ability to lead by example, guide junior staff, and coordinate work allocationsWork Environment: High-volume, deadline-driven, team-oriented setupAbout State StreetWhat we do.State Street is one of the largest custodian banks, asset managers and asset intelligence companies in the world.
