  • Determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or existing applications
  • Mentor and coach junior development team members
  • Solve the most difficult software development challenges
  • Contribute to the framework for the development of software that will result in high quality solutions
  • Maintain balance of business and technical acumen in decision making
  • Contribute to source-code management and work item tracking best practices
  • Contribute to the estimation process during planning exercises
  • Provide consultation to development management team

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Software Technical Architect, Ruby on Rails to join our growing Product team in India.Position SummaryWe are looking for a Technical Architect who will be responsible for orchestrating complex application development across the full lifecycle of development from concept to postproduction support and maintenance of modern software applications and services. The associate will develop application code, contribute to and manage version-controlled source code repositories, and will manage assigned tasks to create measurable value and deliver software to market using industry- recognized agile methodologies and best practices. The associate will contribute to the prescribed standards and guidelines and will act as a consultant to the architects and leadership teams and must demonstrate quality, brevity, and timeliness in all deliverables.In this role candidate will:· Developing and maintaining technical documentation and diagrams.· Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to developers.· Help resolve complex technical challenges within the project· Participate in the development of core application components· Ensure smooth integration of different software modules and services.· Work on performance optimization and security enhancements· Support DevOps and CI/CD implementations. Ensure scalability and resilience of cloud applications.· Assist in designing and developing microservices-based architectures. Define API specifications, security policies, and integration strategies· Work with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or AWS CloudWatch· Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams.· Collaborating effectively with engineers, project managers, designers and QA in an agile (Scrum) environment by participating in project scoping and planning, including shaping and estimating of project tasks.· Document architectural decisions, guidelines, and technical specifications.· Other duties and responsibilities as assignedCompetencies:· Must demonstrate good decision making and effective business acumen.· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills including management of pros -vs- cons tradeoff decisions based on cost/system constraints and future growth.· Must maintain the confidentiality of work-related information and materials.· Must have a growth mindset and subscribe to a continuous learning philosophy.· Demonstrate expertise and mastery in your area of technology and industry.· Great OO skills, including strong design pattern and MVC knowledge.· Must establish and maintain effective working relationships.We'd love to chat if you have...Must Have Skills:· Experience: 10+ years in software development, with at least 4 years in an architecture/design role.· B.S. in Software Engineer, Computer Science or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.· Strong experience with Ruby on Rails in customer-facing applications.· Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).· Experience building applications at scale in AWS· Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture, including Kafka.· Understanding of OAuth, OIDC, JWT, and application security principles· Developing application code and unit tests in Ruby on Rails and Python.· Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, service-oriented architecture.· Making complex technical and design decisions for the front-end projects by consulting with the design team.· Exposure working in Agile environment.
