- Knowledge of CCPA requirements, including consumer rights regarding personal data and business obligations.
- Ability to develop processes for compliance with CCPA regulations.
- Data Classification Frameworks
- Implementation of data classification schemes to categorize data based on sensitivity and compliance requirements.
- Use of tools like Purview to automate data classification.
- Data Quality Management Techniques
- Techniques for assessing and improving data quality, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices.
- Data Lineage and Impact Analysis
- Understanding of data lineage techniques to track data flow and transformations across systems.
- Ability to perform impact analysis to assess the effects of changes in data governance policies.
- Data Stewardship Practices
- Implementation of data stewardship roles and responsibilities to ensure accountability for data quality and governance.
- Use of Collibra or similar tools to manage data stewardship activities.
- Risk Management Frameworks
- Familiarity with risk assessment techniques to identify and mitigate data governance risks.
- Implementation of risk management practices to ensure data security and compliance.
- Data Governance Frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK)
- Knowledge of established data governance frameworks such as the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) by DAMA International.
- Ability to apply best practices from these frameworks to develop a comprehensive data governance strategy.
- Years of Exp- 8+
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Purview and Collibra, along with advanced SQL and data modelling capabilities.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess data quality and governance effectiveness.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to address data governance challenges
