Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical System Design & Review: Lead and participate in the design, development, and review of mechanical equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems ensuring adherence to project specifications and engineering standards.
  • Project Execution & Coordination: Manage and supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical components and systems, ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Maintenance Management: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize the reliability and availability of mechanical assets, minimizing downtime and ensuring plant efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Diagnose mechanical failures or malfunctions promptly and implement effective corrective actions to mitigate operational disruptions.
  • Vendor & Contractor Liaison: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure procurement of quality materials and services and to oversee contract execution aligned with project requirements.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with statutory regulations, safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and Adani's internal standards to foster a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of design changes, maintenance activities, inspection reports, and operational data, and provide regular technical reports and updates to management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost optimization in mechanical operations through innovative engineering solutions and best practices.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with electrical, instrumentation, civil, and control systems teams to ensure integrated plant operations and project success.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
