Now, we’re charging ahead, focused on sustainable growth and scaling impact.And this is just the beginning!What's the role?The IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining and managing an organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves providing technical support, ensuring network security, managing hardware and software, and assisting end-users with IT-related issues.What will be your responsibilities?System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Perform system updates and patches.
Manage user accounts and permissions.
Network Administration:
Maintain and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Basic understanding and configuration of IP addressing, subnets, DHCP, DNS, and routing concepts.
Setup and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi access points.
Provide first-level troubleshooting for LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity issues.
Configure and manage office IT devices (printers, scanners, conferencing systems, etc.).
Ensure network security and implement security policies.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Hardware and Software Management:
Procure and maintain hardware components such as servers, computers, and peripherals.
Install and update software applications and licenses.
Inventory management and asset tracking.
User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues.
Assist with password resets and access requests.
Train employees on IT best practices and usage of software/hardware.
Data Backup and Recovery:
Implement and maintain data backup solutions.
Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
Restore data in case of data loss or system failure.
Security and Compliance:
Monitor and enhance IT security measures.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Prepare reports on system performance, security, and usage.
What’s required from you?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (subnets, IP ranges, WiFi, DHCP/DNS, VPNs).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) may be advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
