About the Role- We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Assistant Category Manager to support the development and execution of category strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market share. - The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about consumer insights, product performance, and brand building. - You'll work closely with the Category Manager, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure seamless planning, performance tracking, and innovation across the product portfolio. Key Responsibilities:1. Category Strategy & Planning - Support the Category Manager in developing and executing annual category plans based on market insights, competitive benchmarking, and business goals. 2. Business Performance Tracking - Analyze category sales, margins, and inventory performance, and generate regular dashboards with actionable insights for business decisions. 3. Product & Portfolio Management - Coordinate cross-functional efforts for new product launches and manage the lifecycle of existing SKUs through data-led decisions. 4. Marketing & Consumer Insights - Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute category campaigns while deriving insights from consumer research and market data. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales to ensure smooth execution of category plans,forecasting accuracy, and on-time delivery. Preferred Qualifications:Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. - MBA preferred. - 2-3 years of experience in category management, brand management, merchandising, or business analysis (FMCG, retail, or D2C experience preferred). Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools. - Basic understanding of P&L management, pricing, and consumer behavior. - Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and manage timelines. - A growth mindset and enthusiasm for building brands and products consumers love.
