ID:JR93902 Equipment Engineer - GELOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As a Global Engineering Lab (GEL) Engineer you will be primarily responsible for setting up, upgrading, calibrating, buying-off, troubleshooting, and periodic maintenance of lab equipment. GEL Engineer also will be involved in implementing global GEL initiatives on site and lead some of the lab initiatives to global base that will involve equipment, engineering, and lab management support.Responsibilities and Tasks:Lead a team of technicians to plan and implement preventive maintenance and calibration of GEL lab equipment.Knowledge about ISO/IEC 17025 std for calibration (Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal etc…)Install, maintain, and calibrate laboratory and manufacturing equipmentExperience in tools which are getting used in semiconductor labs like Temperature chamber, Hast chamber, Soak chamber, Tester, Reflow oven, Temp cycle, THB, bend tester, CSAM, Shock tester, X-section, FTIR, SEM, 3D X-ray, FIB etc ...Perform equipment troubleshooting and work closely with equipment vendors to resolve equipment issues. Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment and systems to support production processes.Identify and resolve recurring equipment downtime issues; implement corrective and preventive actions.Conduct failure analysis and lead RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) and PA (Preventive Action) processes for manufacturing failures.Coordinate with IT support, engineering, logistics, and purchasing teams regarding service requests and equipment needsInstall operating systems (Windows/Linux) for lab equipment, servers, and desktopsMaintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.Assist lab and production staff with equipment setup and operational training. Support audits and inspections by providing equipment documentationCollaborate with vendor and Facilities/IE team on new equipment setup, modification, and upgrades etc.Ensure proper record keeping and documentation of equipment information in Equipment Tracking System.Apply Equipment Tracking System to study equipment trend and data etc. Prioritize equipment related requests from GEL partners and provide timely response.Coordinate with vendors to provide relevant trainings on new equipment or tool-set. Coordinate with internal partners for GEL equipment Audit inspection.Knowledge about ESD & Clean roomBridge between the team members and manager to drive the task by guiding the team members.Effective communication with team members to drive the daily task.Requirements:Minimum 8-9 Years of experience with Bachelors, Masters in field of Electronics, Electronics & communication, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer science holders with Engineering studies.At least one year or equivalent experience in engineering Lab maintainMeticulous and attention to details, perseverance, and passion, strive to ensure maximum test cases coverage.Clear headed, results oriented, systematic, and methodical approach in solving problemsSelf-motivated, possess initiative and ability to work independentlyStandout colleague with good communication skills and fluent to communicate in English (written and verbal).Knowledge about the lean six sigma for laboratory, Kaizen, Lean etc…Flexible in working time, shifts and travel 0-20%Job Profile(s):Equipment Engineer 3Relocation level: (TBD)Before Getting Started
