An Accountant Fresher in a steel manufacturing firm handles daily financial transactions, including data entry (sales/purchases/cash), bank reconciliations, and basic tax compliance (GST/TDS) using software like Tally or SAP. Responsibilities include supporting senior staff with inventory accounting, invoice processing, and, under supervision, preparing preliminary financial statements.Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Daily Transaction Processing: Maintain accurate daily records of purchases (raw materials like iron ore/scrap), sales (finished goods), and bank transactions.
  • Inventory & Cost Accounting: Assist in tracking inventory levels, production costs, and raw material consumption.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage payments, and handle customer billing/receipts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Match bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy.
  • Statutory Compliance: Assist with filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and other regulatory filings.
  • Reporting & Data Entry: Maintain daily books of accounts and assist with generating preliminary MIS reports or
