- Possessing a solid understanding of the working principles of automobiles.
- Applying fundamental concepts in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
- Conducting finite volume modelling for systems including Full Cabin, Engine, and other critical components.
- Expertly assigning boundary conditions and material properties to components to ensure accurate simulations.
- Differentiating between steady and transient simulations while selecting appropriate modes of heat transfer for each scenario.
- Implementing boundary conditions necessary for both steady and transient analyses.
- Executing CFD simulations for various components such as Pressure drops, Flow distribution, Intake and Exhaust Manifolds, and more, while performing conjugate heat transfer analysis as needed.
- Demonstrating proficiency in post-processing results and preparing comprehensive reports for presentation to the design team.
- Advising on design adjustments to meet acceptance criteria based on analytical results while considering manufacturing and packaging constraints.
- Being knowledgeable about testing Full Vehicle systems and understanding instrumentation for testing procedures.
- Correlating CFD results with physical test findings to validate simulation accuracy.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum first-class distinction, which establishes a solid foundation in relevant engineering principles.
- A Master's degree (e.g., M.Tech or M.E.) in Heat Transfer or Fluid Mechanics, preferably from prestigious institutes such as IITs, which further enhances your theoretical and practical prowess in this domain.
- A comprehensive understanding of thermal and fluid dynamics principles as they pertain to the automotive industry, equipping you to tackle complex engineering challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills: Demonstrating clarity and conciseness in discussing intricate results with cross-functional teams is essential.
- The capability to synthesize and effectively report findings that contribute meaningful insights to ongoing projects.
