- Involvement with marine assurance activities to include;
- Mooring & Turret systems and ROV inspection
- Operational risk assessments
- Marine equipment assurance activities – Workflows & CMMS
- Engaging with Class society and Business Unit
- Structural integrity assessments
- Develop structural inspection work scopes in accordance with Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology and classification regulatory requirements across multiple assets.
- Identification of hazard from site inspection & class survey reports and perform risk assessment.
- Support planning of Health checks and execution activities such as criticality analysis, monitoring plans, RBI plans & Inspection work pack Update/development, summary documentation for regulatory engagement etc. (BV,DNV,ABS).
- Support marine reliability, integrity, root cause failure analysis, marine maintenance strategies and other optimisation initiatives.
- Work with GE-APM/SAP team to find/create Taxonomy in GE-APM, defining equipment strategies, scheduling PMs & follow-up of work orders related to Marine systems.
- Steward the development of integrity management dashboard that captures the health of floating assets across various fleets.
- Support/Steward data management initiatives to centrally archive design and integrity management data such as drawings, technical reports, models, Inspection plans, Schedule, Anomaly registers etc.
- Clarify and guide all the team members to improve the team technical competency level & provide technical trainings
- Accountable for overall Team technical performance of the team.
- Provide cost effective mitigative actions to customers.
- Ensure Quality of work done by the team member as per customer defined Technical Quality Assurance (TQA) process.
- Shall have sufficient Technical knowledge to clarify the team members. Able to identify the competency gaps in team members and communicate to Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Manage the monthly stewardship and other scheduled meetings with customers.
- Prepare proposal and estimation for the new work.
- Able to resolve conflicts, resolve escalations and confront appropriately through proper technical – justifications with customers.
- Train and Mentor team in new work.
- Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture/Ocean Engineering/Offshore Engineering/Marine Engineer with 10-15 year experience in In-service or in ship hull survey and inspection related activities.
- Design & Operation knowledge of FPSO’s, FSO, SPAR, TLP, CALMBUOY.
- Familiar with marine system design, installation and operations.
- Hand-on experience in Ship Hull design & construction, Structural integrity, Mooring design and Stability of hull.
- Good understanding of damage mechanisms affecting Hull & Mooring system and risk assessment process.
- Familiar with Classification rule (ABS, DNV, BV etc.), International codes and standards.
- Knowledge of inspection types and NDE techniques.
- Understanding RBI philosophy and applicability for Floating structures.
- Marine integrity management process.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, word, PowerPoint etc.
