Sales Manager Location for this Position: Pune, Maharashtra Company Brief: We are in the business of manufacturing Specialised Paper Packaging Products. We have TWO state of the art manufacturing Plants for these products. Both these plants are located in two separate sites, which are in vicinity of around 2 kilometres of each other and are located near the City of Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Both these facilities put together employ close to 450 work force, including contractor employees. We have our Corporate Office at Pune, which is primarily houses Sales and Corporate Services departments. Job Description Sales Manager will be responsible for sales of companys products in the entire Indian and Export Markets. As the product is of Industrial Consumable nature, the sales pattern is B-to-B. Most of the sales are directly to end customers, who are large and medium sized industries. Majority of these consumer industries are from three sectors, namely: Textile/ Yarn, Plastic Films and Paper. Skills and Responsibilities The candidate should develop a sound knowledge of the market, competition and customer preferences. He is expected to draw long and mid-term plans for the companys product and formulate strategies and road map for achieving the same on monthly basis. He should forecasts demand patterns, emerging trends and give inputs to management in framing policies for the same. Develop strategies and tactics in line with the companys plans to get the desires sales results and meet targets. Deploy successfully these strategies and marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution Develop close relations and rapport with customers and should have complete knowledge and insight about their organization and business plans Develop good sense of market dynamics and competitor activities and continuously monitoring the same and keep management informed. Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors Be in charge of marketing budget and allocate/invest funds wisely Job Profile Plan, organize and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Develop tools to forecast market trends based on the dynamic market inputs and knowledge of competitor activities. Plan and visit customers in a scheduled manner Ensure timely delivery to customers, in line with their requirements Attend to customers technical / product queries and satisfy the same taking inputs from plant/ technical team Attend to and satisfy customer complaints, if any Ensure timely payments from customers and compliance to any statutory forms etc. Give inputs to finance/ accounts from time to time on customers accounts / receivables etc. Develop insight of each customers peculiarities, their organization and competitors activities and update management of the same. Draw plans/ to counter any adverse situations. Prepare desired reports on regular basis and share with inferences and action plans Manage day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectations Requirements Proven work experience demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn Proven experience in identifying target customers and creatively devising strategies across channels to run marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate Solid knowledge of B-to-B marketing practices and processes Computer literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and able to blend with people. Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in industrial consumable marketing and measurement Candidates with minimum qualification as Graduation and having 10 to 15 years of experience with exposure to Direct Sales for Industrial Consumables / Packaging Product would be preferred. Post graduate degree in marketing or a related field will be preferred Attributes Pleasing personality with good written and verbal communication skill Self-starter and ability to lead Willingness to travel Sincere, committed and self-motivated; with positive outlook Experienced in B-to-B direct sales
