- Develop and execute sales strategies across B2B (OEMs, EPCs, Industrial), B2C (retail, channel), and institutional/government segments.
- Drive market penetration and revenue growth across geographies and product verticals.
- Build and lead national and regional sales teams with performance-driven KPIs.
- 2. Product & Technical Expertise
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of copper wire SKUs including:
- Housing wires (FR, FRLS, HRFR, ZHFR)
- Flexible wires (multi-strand, twin core)
- Control and instrumentation cables
- Power cables (LT/HT, XLPE insulated)
- Solar cables (UV-resistant, TUV certified)
- Fire survival and flame-retardant cables
- Data and communication cables (LAN, coaxial, CCTV)
- Collaborate with R&D and production for new product development and SKU rationalization.
- 3. Market Research & Pricing Strategy
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and customer segmentation.
- Define pricing models, discount structures, and margin optimization strategies.
- Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitiveness.
- 4. Channel & Distribution Management
- Build and manage a nationwide network of distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
- Design and implement channel incentive programs and performance tracking systems.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and service levels across all sales points.
- 5. Government & Institutional Sales
- Lead tendering processes for government, PSUs, and infrastructure projects.
- Relationship management with PSU's and Infrastructure projects for business generation and retentions.
- Ensure contracting and compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements.
- 6. Branding, Advertising & Digital Marketing
- Define brand positioning and oversee Above The Line (ATL)/Below the Line (BTL) campaigns.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including:
- SEO/SEM and paid media strategies
- Social media engagement and content marketing
- Email marketing and lead nurturing
- Performance analytics and conversion optimization
- Manage e-commerce platforms and digital sales channels (B2B portals, retail marketplaces).
- Integrate CRM and marketing automation tools for campaign execution and customer insights.
- 7. Sales Planning, Forecasting & Credit Control
- Lead sales forecasting, budgeting, and demand planning using data analytics.
- Define credit policies and monitor receivables across channels.
- Minimize bad debts and ensure compliance with credit norms.
- 8. Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing sales and marketing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer centricity, and continuous improvement.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with R&D, production, and finance.
- Essential: MBA in International Business / Marketing
- Knowledge of e-Commerce platforms (Web and App based)
- Desirable: B.Tech (Electrical)
- Professional certifications in Sales and Marketing are a plus
- 20-25 years in Sales, with at least 8+ years in the Copper Wire and Cable industry in Sales and Marketing at leadership role.
- Experience in B2B/B2C sales, preferably in electricals, cables, or building materials. Proven track record in channel development, credit control, and team development.
